Frequently asked questions
Answers about themes, billing, store access, and publishing.
Which notification emails can I edit?
Themes include templates for order, shipping, payment, and customer notifications. Open a theme to see its available emails.
Do I need to pay to use another theme?
You can open and edit every theme. The free plan lets you save two projects and publish the Order confirmation email from Retails Co Classic. The $59/year plan unlocks publishing other emails and more saved projects. Billing is still being set up during development.
What access does UpiLabs need?
UpiLabs requests permission to view products and manage files in Shopify Files. It uses file access to upload images for exported emails. The app does not request access to customer or order records.
Do I need to edit Liquid code?
No. Use the visual editor for supported changes to copy, images, colors, and spacing.
Can I apply my brand across multiple emails?
Yes. Global Settings can apply shared colors, fonts, and button styles across the emails in your template.
What is the difference between saving and publishing?
Saving keeps your customized template in UpiLabs. Publish prepares HTML for the selected emails and uploads any required images to Shopify Files. Copy that HTML into the matching Shopify notification and save it there to make it live.
Does the app change my live notification emails automatically?
No. Your Shopify notifications stay as they are until you replace their HTML in Shopify Settings > Notifications and save the changes.
Where can I find my saved templates?
Saved templates are linked to your store and appear on the Dashboard. You can reopen them to make changes or generate updated HTML.
